Pony’s of Death

Pony's of Death

I’ve been drawing a lot lately, especially at work where I’ve been tasked with drawing lots of posters and working on my layout skills.

This was done for a bunch of prints that will be sold from Royale Eatery soon. I did this in 2 days. Pretty quick for me. I had the idea for a while.
All this drawing has really helped me speed up my thinking processes.

I Love Vampires

Corpse Bride, Vampire

This was the piece was talking about…little work here and there on it. Finally done. I’m liking the little lighting effects and subtle gradients and blurs.

I Named him Torgis

Character names… I don’t have any story for why I named him Torgis. It popped into my head and I saved the file as Torgis. That’s the end. I had painted this whole elaborate background with mountains, but it was a fail. The white background just framed it nicely.

Sketch a day keeps the mind alight

It’s been too long that I’ve been browsing other ladies and gents blogs. The inspiration overload has been great. But it has also left me behind in posting some of my own progress.

This might not be much but it’s some of the loose sketches I’ve been doing lately. More stylized and loose than my more rigid style I’ve been working with in the past.

I’ve been drawing most of my inspiration from the the Anime movie Tekkon Kinkreet. Obviously it’s not as loose. I just love the energy and movement of the characters.

For a few nights I was being very diligent with daring for atleast 2 hours in between other freelance. Trying to focus on female heads. I used reference at time, but I found the characters I drew without I actually prefer.

I got a Human Anatomy for Artists for Christmas from my gorgeous lady. Excellent book, I’ve only started. I’ve been drawing for so long and it’s something I’ve always said I’d learn, but you know how it goes you just want to get straight into the drawing. Learning sucks – right?

Aliens are all around us

Here is what is really an experiment with some bur and glow effects I’ve been trying to perfect. Trying to give it a bit of film filter and some depth, even within this dark background.
